The Rotary Club of Sturgeon Bay presents the 26th annual Sturgeon Bay Shipyard Tours on Saturday, May 4th, 9am-2pm. 

On one very special day, you are invited to experience an insider’s view of the shipbuilding industry in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin. For over a century this industry has been critical to Door County’s economy. The shipbuilders of Sturgeon Bay have designed, built and repaired vessels–commercial, military and pleasure craft–that have traveled to ports around the globe. 

The largest shipyard on the Great Lakes, Fincantieri Bay Shipbuilding, and another Sturgeon Bay shipyard, CenterPointe Yacht Services, will once more open their doors to the public on the first Saturday of May. CenterPointe is located on First Avenue, while Bay Shipbuilding is located on Third Avenue in downtown Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin.  

Fincantieri Bay Shipbuilding and CenterPointe will offer guided walking tours of their ship repair and new ship construction facilities. Sandwiches and refreshments will be available for purchase at Fincantieri Bay Shipbuilding.
